After a few months of organization, I am finally happy to announce that the sewing lessons for kids are running. The children meet up weekly for 1 hour and a half of fun creative time. In these lessons, they learn how to use a sewing machine and they quickly get started with the first projects, may it be a pillow, a kitty cat mask or a dress!
Ages vary from 6 to 15 years old, and believe me, it is fun (and challenging) to see them getting involved in a sewing project.
I am always surprised by how quick they learn and how eager they are to move onto new steps.
For me, it is completely different to teach sewing to adults than to kids. Objectives are not the same (although they all want to learn to sew); focus time is obviously different, so teaching sewing to children is even more engaging (and brain consuming) for me, than teaching sewing to adults. What I like about both of them, is that I have lots of fun sharing my sewing skills and I like being challenged at different levels of my knowledge, that keeps me wanting to learn even more!
